Navoi Hospital №1

Development of IT infrastructure to improve patient care

Numeral is proud to have supported Navoi Hospital №1 in its digitalization efforts by procuring computers, uninterruptible-power-supply units and printers.

Located in Navoi, the hospital was built in 1984 and currently serves over 50,000 outpatients. Prior to Numeral’s involvement, the hospital ran operations based entirely on paper-based manual procedures, which led to increased error rates, longer processing times, and loss of critical data necessary to provide optimal healthcare services. As such, there was a strong need for IT equipment to facilitate the shift to a digital foundation.

Digital technologies facilitate the establishment of interconnected ecosystems, enabling healthcare institutions to address a wide range of pandemic-related issues. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital was overrun with patients who could not immediately be treated due to the hospital’s outdated infrastructure. As a result, patients experienced longer wait times and were thus subject to increased virus exposure.

Numeral, with financial assistance from several foundations, has provided the necessary IT equipment as well as technical support in forming the hospital’s digital ecosystem. With the infrastructure in place, Numeral is currently assisting the hospital staff in developing a medical database to enable real-time data collection and remote monitoring. “We’ve already observed immediate improvements in the quality of care despite the early stage of our collaboration with Numeral”, commented Chief Medical Officer, Fakhriyor Khonkhuzhaev.
